1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site, independent of all government offices. It does not store official criminal records, file papers, obtain certified copies, or perform an official background check for a visitor.

Its role is to identify sources such as the Hill County Sheriff's Office, local criminal courts, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect to tools run by outside companies.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the website is conditioned on lawful, respectful conduct. You must not:

• Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
• Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
• Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
• Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
• Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
• Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information found here or through a linked tool may not be used to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or unlawfully discriminate against anyone. Misconduct can also violate criminal or civil law. Texas Public Sex Offender Registry data is provided for public safety awareness. It is not permission for threats, vigilante action, blacklisting, or improper discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Hill County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It creates no credit report, background report, or consumer report. The website and its advertising partners do not provide tools designed to screen applicants, assess rental applications, set insurance rates, or judge credit. You agree not to use information from the website or a linked tool to:

• Decide whether to hire or fire someone
• Screen potential renters or housing applicants
• Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
• Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
• Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A legally permitted check for a regulated purpose must come from the Texas Department of Public Safety or an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider, as the applicable law requires.

5. No Legal Advice

General descriptions of Hill County records are not legal advice. Only a licensed Texas attorney can assess how a warrant, charge, conviction, expunction, or order of nondisclosure applies to a particular set of facts.
